Well, at my school, there was an incident involving my friend, a boy, and a closet.
My friend had just met this boy, we will call him C for now, for the first time. My friend, who we will call A for now, didn't know anything about him except for what people had told her. What people had said about C was that he was a player and that he
wasn't a very trustworthy person. Despite what people had told her, A listened to C and allowed him to take her to the school's
band room. When they got there, there were people sitting there. They would be the witnesses. After they arrived, C asked A if he could show her something, A said sure and he took her by the hand and took her into the band room closet. This closet was
notorious for "sexual" incidents because there was no camera in this room. Well, after they were inside A said
she wanted to leave because she didn't feel comfortable. C then grabbed A's arms and pushed her against the wall. Hearing this one of the students ran and opened the door. When they did they saw
C with
his hands holding hers against the wall and trying to kiss her as she dodged his mouth. Unable to slap him, she kept
repeating for him to stop, but when she opened her mouth a second time he caught her lips and began kissing her. It was obvious that this wasn't what she wanted. Eventually, the student got C off of A and A
took off crying, damaged by what had just occurred.
A few days after this, she
went to the school counselor to report what happened hoping that they would do something about it. When she did, the counselor
reported this to the administrator. When the administrator found out she asked A to do a write up about what happened. A did as she was asked. Then, the office requested for C to come in to give a testimony about what happened. Obviously,
he denied everything. A then told the office about the witness. They interviewed the witness and the witness told them what happened. After having two students confirm that C did sexually harass A, the
administrators decided.
A was then
blamed for false accusations. Why? It was later discovered that C's
mom worked at the school and that she had also given a testimony about how wonderful and how trustworthy her son is/was. Despite the fact that C's mom was
not a witness, they took
her word over the kids. A was then
punished and C was not.
Do you think this is o.k? Do you find this wrong?
It is wrong. This must be stopped. Schools think that they can
walk all over children because they are older. They think that because we are minors that we can be
stomped all over! Well,
we have a voice!
We have a right to speak. Let's
use it.
